Kereru Class has recently participated in “Get New Zealand Writing” campaign run by School Kit and Warehouse Stationery along with 96,000 other students around the country.
The students have been exploring descriptive language and discovering new vocabulary.
First, we created a class colour poem, followed by group colour poems.
The students each constructed a poem inspired by objects such as dinosaurs, a compass, a ship in a bottle and many other items that we were in our writing kit.
After all this hard work, we sent our fabulous poems to a school in Orakei who in return sent us their literary creations.
