STEM in Kereru Class

Last week Mr B from Lower Moutere School brought some equipment into Kereru Class for us to explore and see what out fabulously imaginative and inventive minds would come up with.
It was also great fun!
We explored robotics as well as construction.
Thanks Mr B!
I liked the Flexo the most because it was like flexible lego.
by Flynn
The Flexo was really fun because you could make things like a trampoline which you can't do with lego.
by Juliet
The robots were fun how we got to move them around. With the Flexo we could make a lot more stuff than lego.
by Katarina
It was interesting finding out what we could programme the robots to do.

Caution! Brains At Work!

Kereru Class visited the Life Education Truck and learnt all about how our brains work and how it helps us with other parts of our body.

I learnt that cats have a bigger cerebellum than us which is why they have a lot better balance than humans.
by Jesse
I learnt that the brain gives messages to the rest of the body and controls how we move.
by Jakob
It was really interesting to learn that the brain fluid is as much as there is in one lemon!
